Hi Banu it's 9M-MXY the 1000th 737. Cabin was in really new condition. Had USB port too as well as mood lighting. Didn't even feel the landing gear going down during landing.
Is there a good place to plane spotting around BIA. I mean from outside without getting harassed by military or police? And what are the peak times at BIA in daytime?

I think the peak is in the Morning-early morning, but flight arrival peak will start at around 4.pm.

13 years on I still cannot stop admiring the GE90-115B every time I get on board a 77W. With 115K thrust, this will be the highest rated aviation engine in our lifetime (sans the rocket engines).
RR does not make anything with even remotely comparable thrust levels and GE's own GE9X is rated at 105K!
What never ceases to amaze me is that A388 could have been flown with 2.5 GE90 engines (70K X 4 = 280K) and if Airbus was not in Bed with RR and decided to make A388 a tri-jet with GE90 engines, Whalejet's fate would have been entirely different and its premature demise would have even been avoided.
