sfernando34: the only time I saw the A345 take off, they did a long run, and I believe it is to do with the reduced thrust take off .. lest they spend more fuel to carry the fuel
I remember PK complaining that half the fuel spent for the first half of the flight is to carry the fuel being transported
The times i head to Changi, nowadays, I get too lucky, the planes depart on the side i am watching .. the depart on on 20R/02C: if is the other way around, it would be much closer, when they come in for landing.
