These A319s are belongs to Rotana Aviation. Rotana also has 2 x A319s in the fleet. One is with VIP config (A6-RRJ) and another one (A6-RRC) is for the regular passenger operations. I think both of these birds were parked in Colombo on the 4/1/2015. Do you think A6-RRJ flew to Colombo as a charter flight for a VIP visit? According to the following source Pope will fly Rome-Colombo on AZ A330-200 and Colombo-Manila on UL A340-300.
According to the release, the pope would be leaving Rome today for Colombo in Sri Lanka, covering a distance of 7,630 kilometers (4,741 miles). The travel time would be about nine hours and 30 minutes on board an Alitalia A330 airline.
On Thursday, the Pope would be leaving Colombo for Manila on a Sri Lankan A340 aircraft. Travel time would last for about six hours and 15 minutes.
