But, think about it, there is nothing there, people walk out of the airport and see impact of malnutrition among cows. Its located in a not so wealthy region and people will be able to see that. I don't see Hambantota going anywhere ? Where would people shop ? What would they do for entertainment ? Usually When a city or a region has developed enough, thats when you see airport being built and it is usually a domestic airport. The idea of dropping an airport out of the sky in the least developed region isn't the greatest idea. I dont think people would enjoy travelling 20km-30km to get from one region to another.Originally posted by channa View PostComment
