  • And it's quite sad to see them going for a seat that is neither modern nor from a reputed manufacturer. IMHO, they should have utilized the space better with some other seats like the Contour or B/E Diamond.

              • Kingfisher Flight Schedule clearly shows that they will be using a single aircraft for these new routes. Btw Flight Booking for Colombo to Kochi, Trichy and Trivandrum is now available on the Kingfisher Website. Its sad to see Bengaluru - Colombo will not be resumed.

                • Nepal Airlines have rights to serve Lhasa according to revised treaty in 2004. the route is already served by Air China, formerly China Southwest Airlines flew Beijing-Lhasa-Kathmandu service before merger with CA.

                  • Banuthev, using a single aircraft and using a single aircraft type are two different things. :-) The TRV&TRZ sectors are operated by the same aircraft anyway.

Thanks for pointing this out. I was meant to say same aircraft covering all three routes :-( My mistake I missed Kochi. I understand Kochi flight will be served by the different ATR aircraft.

Do you think these routes will become successful ones for Kingfisher ?
Any reason why they dropped BLR ?

Sorry, I made a mistake too. Actually the flights seem to operate as COK>CMB>TRZ>CMB>TRV and the other aircraft as TRV>CMB>COK. Seriously no idea if they will make money, but will have very low yield for sure. Bad timing + slower aircraft so the only chance is at attracting leisure travellers aiming for rock bottom fares.
