Shocking Revelations? Shocking to who? Just the extremely naive.

It was obviously nothing but a way to transfer public funds into the bank accounts of various corrupt Politicians/Family/Cronies.

And all the while these same people were loudly proclaiming how they were acting in the 'National Interest".

Let's see if they mention how much EPF/ETF money was given to both Mihin and SriLankan.

And what the total amount is that the people of Sri Lanka are now responsible for.

        • Suren Ratwatte has taken an early retirement from the post of CEO and has put forward a series of conditions for this early retirement.

One condition is that 06 months salary, devoid of taxes, be provided to him. He has also requested valid air tickets to travel to Australia for a period of one year and several other benefits.

In a backdrop where the national airline has been brought to a situation where they continue to suffer losses year on year, how much will the National carrier dole out for Ratwatte to take an early retirement?

Which CEO/Chairman? They were all appointees - says enough.

As I stated in my previous post Mihin Lanka was a way to transfer public funds to Corrupt Politicians/Family/Friends/Cronies.

What you have is a perfect example - over-billing and the difference is pocketed.

People of Sri Lanka pay $1020
                    Mihin Pays $47
                    Corrupt Politicians/Family/Friends/Cronies pocket $973

It's very simple - don't understand how people can't see this.

The above is Theft and Fraud - if you have the invoices you need to make copies and submit them to the investigating commission.

These invoices prove theft and fraud.

Keep the originals in a safe place.

RTI Commission orders SriLankan to disclose VIP salaries

SriLankan Airlines top management’s salaries, which have been shrouded in secrecy so far, should be released to the Airline Pilots’ Guild of Sri Lanka (APGSL), the Right to Information Commission (RTIC) has ruled.

The Commission has also ordered the national carrier to disclose the cost of flying training met by the company on behalf of Suren Ratwatte, its former Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In addition the Commission has called for the release of all agreements entered into for the wet lease of its A330 aircraft to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). And it directed the divulging of information related to the rental of several A350 airbuses from AerCap and subsequent cancellation of those leases as the matter is now concluded.

However, the RTI Commission upheld SriLankan’s decision to withhold information related to the cancellation of purchase of aircraft from Airbus SAS as the negotiations are still ongoing. But all minutes and board papers pertinent to the matter (a list was given) were ordered to be released subject to any redaction that the public authority may establish in law as necessary regarding commercial confidence or excluded as coming within the ambit of information given by a third party which was treated as confidential at the time. The RTIC will scrutinise whether these redactions are justified in law................ http://www.sundaytimes.lk/180617/new...es-298673.html

                      • The lady who writes for the Sunday Times is by far the best when reporting on Aviation matters.

She would be someone to contact if people are afraid to hand over incriminating documents in person.

My main issue with the current investigation is that nobody has been named - there are people responsible for this mess.

It doesn't appear that even the most basic steps have been taken - copies of contracts and lease deals obtained to see who signed on behalf of SriLankan.

As I've said previously a lot of information will have been destroyed - also a crime btw.

I'm betting lots of talk but no action - as usual.

Who ever comes to power in srilanka trying to make there own many nothing for poor people,
Still our country is in sad state when comparing other countries,
I still see Colombo airport is like a under privileged airport when we come out it’s so dark,so many guys asking for illegal taxis, no proper taxi system ,no proper public transport, they making everything difficult to srilankans and foreigners,

Even Chennai is far ahead than srilanka,

Even kandy doesn’t have proper facilities from Medical to everything,

We are still like frog in the well,

Some group says protect srilanka from foreign invaders (lol) why Western country need srilanka do they have oil or minerals ?

Even in IT sector to open up a startup we don’t have enough experience software engineers,

Also Engineering sector we don’t have enough people , also not enough colleges to study further.
I see in India Tamil Nadu itself has so many colleges and inventions going on,

Between all this nowadays srilankans have issue with other religious people who lives in srilanka, recently I see a post from Madhu madhawa aravinda he has told on this FB “ it’s high time Muslims go back to saudi” When he stated this there are more than 50k likes and hearts. If srilankan moor are Saudi citizens he should understand living standard in Saudi is much higher than srilanka why the hell srilankan moor should live in srilanka and suffer..

Thus I see some intelligent minorities they go abroad and migrate western countries, they don’t loose anything they have good life there, the ultimate looser is srilanka, where we don’t see any developments we are still same..

Iam just telling my views and thoughts as a ex srilankan Iam v sad about it, when I ever icome to srilanka I don’t see any much of improvement, even when I travel to Bangladesh I see people and country is developing.
Hope srilankan changes there mentality and not fall into political traps and hate each other’s

Will be flying soon. Only a wheel change was done, gear change isn't needed as it wasn't a major damage. Now body repairs are going on. NDT is being carried out as there is only a minor damage to the belly panels which were hit by the debris on landing.
