      • All media reports talking about J class cabin in new A330, but are there new AVOD and better screens in economy class ?

        • UL seems to have got two crucial things right:

          1. I read them saying that they want to operate daily flights to all their destinations, as opposed to half hearted 2-3 times a week flight. This will not only provide more flexibility to passengers, it establishes their presence in a stronger way and helps them utilize their station staff better.

          2. They have said that they want to fly point to point, as opposed to having stopovers mid-way. This is already shown by operating direct flights to Shanghai (dumping the stopover in Bangkok) and Kuwait (dumping the stopover in Dubai).

Hopefully, they will improve on their on-time departures and join Star Alliance thereby establishing themselves on a stronger footing.

Based on the above pics, no. A tad disappointing! But they have refreshed the look of the cabin in economy (seat covers, carpet etc).

UL facebook page has some pictures of Y class. It looks like they recycled the old stamp size AVOD in Y class.
              Doesn't look new to me.

Hopefully the surprises are good! I think UL is on the right path now. Mihin on the other hand needs to expand or else merge with UL.
