I wonder why Lufthansa or Condor didn't serve FRA-CMB after the termination of UL flights in 2016.
Do you think UL can make FRA successful again?

Hi Haleef, Hope you're doing well , Do you know when UL is going to restart Frankfurt flighs?

Lufthansa operates from FRA to all major Indian destinations and to Male seasonal but not to CMB.FRA-CMB was a popular segment for North American passengers flying to South India, Male , CMB and South East Asia.Hope UL will succeed.

I guess Sharjah is a techincal stop. B737 can't fly Kiev to Colombo due to range.

Any water salute given for Skyup airlines during the first arrival in Colombo?

                        • An aviation portal flightstats.com has named SriLankan Airlines the world's most punctual airline with 90.75 per cent of its flights arriving on time in May.

According to the portal, this is the second time in less than 12 months that the carrier has achieved such a milestone, having also winning the world's number one spot in September 2018 with a punctuality rating of 91.37 per cent.

The airline mentioned that the win was a challenging achievement given heightened security at is hub – Colombo airport.

To determine the ranks, Flightstats.com had tracked 78 per cent of 3,282 flights operated by SriLankan Airlines.

In the list, Singapore Airlines is in 8th position with 7,987 flights while Emirates is in 10th with 12,615 flights.

Lousy deal brought on by the dumb idiots who came to run the airline in the yamapalana govt.

As the SLTPB works on approval from the Sri Lankan government to allocate $2.4 million to help attract foreign tour operators, the country’s national carrier is now considering relaunching direct flights to Frankfurt as of 2021.
Nothing is definite - just more wishful thinking imho.

The reasons major carriers do not fly to Colombo.

                                - Seasonal destination.
                                - Low yielding destination with very little Premium traffic.

It's simple Economics - they can make more money operating to other destinations.

UL lost a lot of money operating Frankfurt flights - these were stopped for a good reason.

What has changed since then? Nothing - this route will just result in more losses if it is restarted.
Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business
