Sri Lanka’s former Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga, who was arrested and remanded until February 17 over the controversial MiG deal, has been admitted to the prison hospital, informed sources said. ..
I see Mr "MiG Deal" has been arrested.
Of course he's already in the prison hospital. The revolving door of Sri Lankan justice has already started.
He's family so nothing will happen to him - he'll be out and about in no time!
Anyone have any updates on Kaplila - I'm guessing his arrest was all for show.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

The blame should be placed more on the previous regime of MS and RW. This culprit has been in custody for months if not years now in Dubai, and the law enforcement authorities simply did not prioritize or take initiatives to arrest and bring him back to be trailed at sri lankan judicary system even though bails were eminent as well.
Even now this is just drama only. people like Udayanga and jaliya are in the circles of the current political regime so the outcome is just imminent. He will be used around as a card for the current diyawanna election and be bailed out once it is over. at the end no one will even notice or care.
Anyway kapila who lived a lavish life making fortunes out of UL, still being behind bars has had me going. that too due to the exception that he was caught red handed by revealing made at a court in UK or else that too will be swept below the carpets.

(mind you no of luxury buses leaving from Colombo to Jaffna everyday..)
that's a good news in any case..
international travellers (non Indians) will not use this the gateway to SL for sure...
However, i'm sure this will be a high potential opportunity to tap th South Indian outbound tourism and more Chennai peeps (rather South Indians; i.e. 252 Millions of people men...) would come to SL via Jaffna and boasting tourism on that area... even of 1% of this exceeds annual tourism arrival though CMB hahhh
so we should be getting as a country...
