  • Good News! Wizz Air is going to fly direct flights to Mattala Airport from Abu Dhabi effecive 30-Oct.2023.

    AUH-HRI - 13:25 - 19:40 - MO.WE.FR
    HRI-AUH - 20:40 - 00:55+1 - MO.WE.FR

Could Wizzair be able to sustain on this route for long?

In the past Air Arabia, FlyDubai & RotanaJet operated between UAE and Mattala, but the flight didn't last long.

CMB-IXM and BLR will also be practical based on the load factor
Indigo will be a possible threat to South asian low cost and star class airlines...Srilankan and Fitsair should have an aggressive path to survive

Engine Run being done on ALH right now. When it's going to fly its Test flight? Is ALH still carrying the Oneworld livery after recent paint work?

I think they will paint An A330-300 with oneworld livery soon, as the current -200s are on their way to retirement

          • What are your ideas about the Selling the Srilankan airlines to another airline?
Personally I think it's gonna be a big mistake 👀

I think selling is the best option , Because Government own airlines are mostly running at a lost, If Rajapaksa back in power airline might die

In my humble opinion, UL better paint the oneworld livery on the A330 which is going to be delivered this year on 6 years lease (lease expires in 2029). Please note current A333s (ALL to ALR) are leaving the fleet in 2026/2027).

Please correct me if im wrong?

Why Kuwait Airways and Saudia doesn't fly to Colombo?
SV and KU up to November no schedule

                                In a 320-200, no.

I like to see Fits Air flying Singapore or Bangkok routes because there aren't any budget airlines.
