  • Kuwait Airways Drops U.S.-London Route So It Doesn't Have To Fly IsraelisThe airline argues that a 1964 law prohibits it from selling tickets to citizens of Israel.

Kuwait Airways has ceased flying between New York's Kennedy International Airport and London's Heathrow Airport over a disagreement with U.S. officials who say the Middle Eastern carrier can't refuse to fly Israeli citizens.
The stoppage, which went into effect this week, is the latest in a spat*reaching back to 2013
, when Kuwait Airways refused to sell a ticket to Eldad Gatt, an Israeli citizen attempting to fly from JFK to Heathrow.
"It is unfortunate that Kuwait Airways has decided to suspend its service
, instead of accepting Israeli citizens as passengers,” Jeffrey Lovitky, a Washington lawyer representing Gatt, told USA Today on Tuesday. “This demonstrates Kuwait’s stubborn refusal to give up its boycott of Israeli citizens.”

Awful ! Why KU is serious on Jewish citizens? Is still Israel aircraft banned from Islamic aero spaces? Any chance KU making JFK flight nonstop from KWI?

      • Passengers scrambled for oxygen masks as London-bound plane descended 32,000 ft

A technical fault on the Gulf Air flight GF003 forced cabin crew to launch an emergency landing. The plane carrying 89 passengers plummeted 32,000 ft in a matter of minutes before landing safely at Heathrow on Tuesday.

The airline said in a statement after the incident: "Gulf Air can confirm that flight GF003, an Airbus 330, flying from Bahrain to London on 13 December, experienced technical issues that resulted in the airline's experienced cockpit crew successfully executing an emergency descent and safely landing at Heathrow International.

"The aircraft, carrying 89 passengers, landed without incident and all passengers disembarked safely.

        OMG!
GF A330 only carried 89 pax on BAH-LHR route. Passenger load factor looks worse.

Really appreciate that! PR-XTA will be in service from Jan 2016 not sure about the exact date but it will fly between Sao Paulo and Manaus for training and crew familiarisation. After it will be used for Sao Paulo-Miami in March 2016 and then Sao Paulo-Madrid in April 2016. Do they really need two months to get familiarise with A350?
Do you have any latest picture of MSN27/35 PR-XTB/C which is in FAL (Final Assembly Line) at TLS?

F-WZFV (PR-XTB/MSN27) was towed to the re-work hangar (C63) on the 12-Nov. Since then it's not been visible out of the hangar. I think PR-XTC/MSN35 is being painted in TLS. Any idea about the test rego of MSN35?

TAM's first A359 (PR-XTA/MSN24) was ferried to GRU from CNF on the 19-Dec as JJ9550.

TAM were ordered A359s to replace their ageing A332 fleet. Few weeks before the arrival of first A359, TAM had removed one of their A332 (PT-MVA/MSN232) from the revenue service. PT-MVA must be undergoing the final checks in GRU hangar before it's been send for scrap.

Most likely TAM's A359s will be placed on the European and US routes. Notsure of the destinations would be served by their B773s which are only less than 7 yrs old if iam not mistaken.

Do you have any pic of 3r A359 for TAM. It's MSN35 and she is out of the FAL I think.

Yes looking forward to see her after paint work. ET's A359 (MSN40/F-WZGM) was seen next to S15 hangar at TLS yesterday after it's been towed from the FAL on the 22-Dec. Do you think it's worth airline like ET, QR were ordered A359s when they already have new B787 & B773s.
