You're welcome. Maybe the 100+118 includes options aswell. Though they will need a lot of jets not only to expand but to replace nearly their entire fleet. Plus as many have said these large orders mean American and European businesses also stand to lose if the political situation gets bad again.

Wow ! Iran Air have more than 200 aircraft on order (Airbus + Boeing). Hope the expansion wouldn't be affected by Political situation. When the aircraft deliveries going to start? Where are they going to fly all of those birds?

Hopefully we'll find out delivery dates during the Farnborough Air Show.

                • There was a fire on engine of SQ aircraft after emergency landing at Changi airport yesterday. Does any one know its aircraft type and rego ? Does any one have video/pics of the incident.

                    777-300ER.

                    9V-SWB

And a lot of argument online if the decision not to emergency evac was right or not ..

Though it's pretty much a non-issue in Singapore in Singapore.

About 60 seconds after the plane came to a complete stop, ARFF starting dousing the fire.

According to Reuters, Iran Air may convert or cancel the order of 12 x A380. I was thinking where there going to fly these A380? It looks like Iran Air up for competing with ME3.

                      • Bombardier finalise Air Canada order for up to 75 C Series aircraft. Are they addition or replacement to the Air Canada fleet?

Bombardier have shaped private flight over 50 years of leadership in the industry. Come and meet our aircraft.

Very sad indeed ! How many pax were on board SQ368 on the 27-June? any injuries to the pax, crew & ground staff?

Hi umedha, What's going to happen to 9V-SWB? is it serious damage to the aircraft after engine fire? is it possible to see her operating flights back again after repairs?

                            Hey Banu
I did consult Shanaka aboutabout this as soon as it happened. According to his experience most likely she will be repaired.
What I was thinking, due to the age of the aircraft and it's one of the 1st 300 ER s in the fleet, it might get withdrawn?

241 POB, and there's a wiki page for it too No injuries as all stayed on board while the ARFF extinguished the flames and passengers departed via stairs.

If I am not wrong, since SQ doesn't own any of the frames ( ) they may speed 9V-SWBs departure. Though the Chinese way of operating things around here - bad luck and all. Or may be good luck as there was no loss of lives or injuries. You can never tell.

Then again, BA 2276 - G-VIIO was fixed and is back in operation. And G-VIIO was in a pretty bad shape - in pictures..

North Korea’s national airline, Air Koryo, offers aviation that is nearly extinct – flying on Soviet-era airplanes such as the Ilyushin Il-18.
