Given the height from sea level 1500m looks enough for jets. Santos Dumont airport (SDU/SBRJ) in Rio de Janeiro handles regular B738, A32X and E170 with a runway of just 1300.

Just had a look - Ratmalana has a very low pavement strength. This means that an A320 will be weight restricted (probably to the point that operations are not practical).
Having flown with a number of F/O who are now Captain A320 - you really don't want them operating into a short runway like this......Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this businessComment

I hope at least a few Kfir will get preserved. It's time out for the Kfirs and F-7s(Made In China MiG 21s). It would be better to have a few second hand MiG 29s and SU 27s rather than spending on new ones from less established manufacturers like HAL and CAC/PAC.Originally posted by LukeSkywalker View PostWhat fighters?.
