  • Seems like most Etihad, Emirates and Qatar Airways flights going between their hubs and Australia pass over Sri Lanka. Kenya Airways 886 (Nairobi-Bangkok) flies over Sri Lanka as well. Vietnam Airlines flights from their various airports in Vietnam to the Maldives also pass over Sri Lanka. Many Indonesian Hajj flights on their way to Jeddah also overfly Sri Lanka.

When any fuel is burnt it gives out carbon dioxide n water vapour. jet exhaust gives the same and due to very low teperatures at higher altitudes the water vapour freez. This forms the condensed trails or con-trails behind the jets. Usually happens when the air is almost full of water moisture at higher altitudes and if u see contrails there ia high chance of a rain on following day. Hope its not too much of things.

Why do only Delta & United operate the B767-400? It seems like such a productive plane.

The 767-400ER's closest competitor from Airbus is the A330-200.The 767-400ER may be replaced in Boeing's line-up by the 787-10 if approved for offering. A total of 38 767-400ERs had been delivered, with 16 to Continental Airlines and 21 to Delta Air Lines as of 2009.A total of 37 767-400ERs were in airline service as of July 2009"

It seems like alot of other airlines use the A330, which seems to be Airbus competitor with the 767 and 777 alike... It is a good looking aircraft, but perhaps the Airbus A330 is more fuel efficient?

Sri Lankan will be operating Airbus A330-200s, A330-300s A320s, and Airbus A350s that have been ordered. Would be nice to see some 777s introduced to the fleet like there was discussion of previously. The 777-300ER is a beautiful aircraft.
