Definitely yes!
I believe operating ALS was indeed profitable. For UL to get their formula right, I do hope they look to at least convert some of the older A330’s into dedicated freighters.
The best examples would be the Indian LCC’s - IndiGo and SpiceJet who are performing well on Cargo Ops even with narrow body freighters
Secondly, UL does also need focus on regional connectivity from our Minor International Airports (RML & JAF) as of now JAF is monopolized by Alliance.
They should honestly phase out the 2 A320neos and allocate the same in acquiring turboprops - FitsAir were considering the Q400 however I’m not quite sure when they are scheduled to be delivered
RML & JAF as we know have lower embarkation fees, translating into lower fares which is something we all look for
Hi Aaqib, Which destinations are suitable for using Q400?
ALH and ALN both were taken in for C-checks months ago. Lots of patch work and repairs were done on it, including painting. ALH is nearly done now, probably a test flight will happen soon. ALN is now being worked on. Expect to see ALH flying soon again.
Engine Run being done on ALH right now. When it's going to fly its Test flight? Is ALH still carrying the Oneworld livery after recent paint work?
I think they will paint An A330-300 with oneworld livery soon, as the current -200s are on their way to retirement
In my humble opinion, UL better paint the oneworld livery on the A330 which is going to be delivered this year on 6 years lease (lease expires in 2029). Please note current A333s (ALL to ALR) are leaving the fleet in 2026/2027).
