Very sad our national carrier couldn't take delivery of A350 ! I was expecting to see this A350 in SriLankan livery

Notsure why FR24 still mentions the above A350 as UL52 & ALK52 . Any idea ?

Maybe Iran Air will occupy UL's cancelled A350 aircrafts. Just saw some tweets about that.

Very interesting ! AirAsia X is operating AK8334/5 to replace the morning flight AK043/44. AK8334 is landing and leaving from Colombo in the evening hours. Please see the schedule below.

I am curious to know why they are operating the Indonesian A333 as AK8334/5 on KUL-CMB-KUL route..

KLM’s Dreamliner service to Colombo this winter

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will reintroduce their service to Sri Lanka with the ultra-modern aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The flight expected to commence on October 31 and is expected to have convenient connections with KLM’s service to Toronto, Canada operated by Boeing 747-400s.

“Throughout the winter season, KLM will operate twice-weekly service to Colombo, departing from Schiphol on Mondays and Fridays, and returning from Colombo on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flights will be operated with the latest addition to KLM’s intercontinental fleet: the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has 30 seats in World Business Class, 48 seats in Economy Comfort and 216 seats in Economy Class,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline is reintroducing their service to Colombo after a two decade absence.
