Was following this... Diverted to HRI due to Bad weather at CMB

EK652 diverted to Mattala due to heavy rain at Katunayake. Hambantota Mattala airport has huge potential and is regularly used as a refuelling stop for flights between Europe and the Far East. Let’s make the most of it!

Agree totally ! So surprised there appear to be few, if any, regular commercial flights between Colombo and this place / Tissamaharama, or further east for that matter.
