        Is this the same aircraft overran the runway at Khartoum and got stuck in the mud back in 2018.
        That aircraft belongs to the rada airlines and the registration is EW-450TR. Hungary is the origin of this airline headquarter is LHBP

            Thanks, i haven't seen many Russian/Ukraine made items in Sri Lanka for many years except AN124/224/12/, IL96/IL76 Did i miss other Russian/Ukraine made aircraft in Sri Lanka in the recent times?

            In 90s , my dad was flying twice on Balkan passenger flight TU154 to Sofia from Colombo.

            In 80s, IL62 is regular visitor to Colombo operated by Aeroflot & CSA Czech. Any other airlines operated IL62 to Sri Lanka apart from these?

                2 Bombardier Global 6000s belonging to VistaJet Malta (9H-VJT & 9H-VJJ) operating from CMB. Anyone have more info.

                        PQ555 (UR-SQH) is on its way to HRI. For the record it’s the same aircraft which brought in the first tourists last week .?

                            Vistajet also operated 9H-VJP & 9H-VJR to Colombo last week. Any one know the reason for the visit?

                                I think Sri Lanka should promote the tourist attractions in Southern Sri Lanka and attract seasonal charter foreign flights to HRI. There are many tourist attractions in Southern Sri Lanka e..g . Yala, Kathirkamam Arugambay etc are near Mattala. What do you think? At the same time Sri Lanka should open the schedule flights from Colombo urgently. Maldives is taking advantage of Sri Lanka restricting Sri Lankans and tourists arriving at Colombo. The SL Gov has to act on this immediately on re-opening the Colombo Airport with safety restrictions.

                                1st Flight - 28 Dec 2020 - Skyup 185 passengers
                                2nd Flight - 29 Dec 2020 - UIA 204 Passengers
                                3rd Flight - 02 Jan 2021 - Skyup 173 passengers

                                    In fact yesterday there was a significant amount of VistaJet movements between Seychelles, male , CMB and DXB.

                                        What a beautiful news...british airway B789 now flying from LHR to HRI. I think british airways back in sri lanka after long time. Anyone know the reason about this flight???...hope they'll launch direct air connections between the two cities..?

                                                        It's disappointing BA, KLM, Aeroflot doesn't fly to Colombo these days. Sri Lanka government should make an arrangement for promoting the tourism sector to get these mainline carriers back in Sri Lanka.
