All this politically linked rumbling aside (which i have spawned in my rant above), we all want UL to be the best.

I really do not like slamming UL but it really really is heart breaking when you consider how this airline is being run into the ground, when SO EASILY it can be one of the best in the world, raking in huge profits.

UL cutting Bahrain completely or is Mihin taking over the route? As per Routesonline it ends Bahrain service in September after 40 years of continues service.

Cmb-ixm schedule confusion..............

Very Happy to see the uploaded schedule BUT There are some confusions between both Inbound and outbound flight Schedules. Madurai to Colombo schedule showing on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY where as CMB to IXM showing SUNDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY . ie There is no inbound flight from CMB to MADURAI on MONDAY as per this schedule . How come this possible? Is there any mistakes in the schedule up loading?
Does it goes (MJ305 from CMB to IXM ON SUNDAY) somewhere else after reaching Madurai and return back on MONDAY to IXM towards proceeding to CMB ??????????

Pls Clarify.............

MJ is taking over the Bahrain route from UL.

Sunday flight was appearing due to System Glitch. You can re-check in amadeus.net. Sunday flight won't be showing now.

Also we would like to know when the schedule will appear in the Mihin's website for booking? can you confirm the date of starting the services? is it October 29th or earlier. We all are in middle East very eagerly waiting for the launch date for Booking.

Mihin Lanka is planning schedule changes to Madurai. MJ originally planned to start the flight from 29th Oct, but was cancelled. Although service will be starting from 28th Oct, reservation is available by the end of August 2012.

CMB-IXM - 14:20 - 15:20 - MJ305 - A32S - WE.FR.SU (effec 28th Oct)
IXM-CMB - 16:15 - 17:15 - MJ306 - A32S - WE.FR.SU (effec 28th Oct)

* Flight Schedule subject to change

Any updates on SG connecting IXM-CMB ?

SriLankan Engineering has informed that 4R-ADB completed its engine test and all set to fly on the 22nd July as UL553. 4R-ALJ is currently undergoing it's seat/cabin fittings and IFE installations. 4R-ALJ's maiden revenue flight expected in end of August 2012 - However STD-Date not yet confirmed. Here are the 4R-ALJ pictures which were taken by our member Sakith.

SG is not willing to provide any information about their future plan even through RTI. So it is hard to guess when they will start. They can give surprise at anytime for us.

Has 4R-ADB got refurbished cabin wise, or was it just an engine test? Also what happened to the A340 that was damaged???

MJ to keep the saturday flight on the ground in TRZ for about 4:15 hours. One reason is to connect to the east bank flights via CMB.

Is there any O&D traffic between IXM-CMB ?

4R-ADA/B/C are not getting cabin upgradation as these aircraft are to be returned to the lessor in end of 2013. 4R-ADB had a minor damage (rear jack damaged the jacking area) during the C-Check. It has now been repaired.
