  • Consider Mihin Flying to MAA?

SriLankan Airlines operates 4 flights daily to Chennai (MAA)
As MAA is a profitable route being the Parent Company of Mihin they should consider giving Mihin one of the daily slots.

not really. the UL/MJ system of parent / sister company strategy is wrong. according to my knowledge (may be I'm wrong) but EK/FZ is also like a parent/ sister company situation and i really don't think EK has given any slots of theirs to FZ and more is that none of them code share with each other like UL/MJ. personally, i don't approve the system of UL/MJ code shares. EK just brings in feeder traffic to FZ (which is good).

CORRECTION: UL is not the 13th airline to enter oneworld according to my knowledge. becoz QR is already in oneworld and they were the 13th memeber to join oneworld. coz currently there are 13 members in oneworld (1) British Airways, 2) Iberia, 3) American Airlines, 4) Air Berlin, 5) Royal Jordanian, 6) Qatar Airways, 7) LAN group, 8) Cathay Pacific, 9) Finnair, 10) Malaysia Airlines, 11) S7 Airlines, 12) Qantas, 13) JAL

SriLankan reduced Chennai from 4 daily to 3 daily. I would suggest Mihin to launch non-UL routes like Kozhikode, Hyderabad, Lahore, Ahmedabad etc... and they should Increase the current flights to Dubai, Bahrain, Sharjah, Dhaka, Madurai to Daily. Mihin should stop flying Delhi and Seychelles which should be served by only SriLankan. But Dubai can be served by both SriLankan and Mihin.

I think they should replace their ageing IL18F as well.
