To Sublease...all 3 partners need to agree.
The sublessee is subject to the same lease terms & payment that the original lessee was subject to
Aercap will agree...they need someone to pay the full lease payments
UL well they want some one to pick up the lease payment as per the terms of agreement with Aercap
The most difficult part is...if TK would agree for the lease terms (which UL agreed with Aercap) and for the least payment (& what payment terms UL agreed with Aercap)Last edited by Speedbird; 07-04-2016, 07:43 PM.

Turkish is run like a Business - they will not pay what UL is paying to lease these aircraft. The issue is whether Aercap will renegotiate an already signed deal or whether UL will have to pay the difference.
These A350's are the final nail in the UL coffin - these orders will finish off UL imho.
No matter what happens the Sri Lankan people get screwed (again).Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

What UL could offer TK is that UL would give reduced or free ground handling to TK in CMB (UL charges exorbitant ground handling charges in CMB).

More on the culture of impunity and zero accountability. Everyone is looking out for themselves, their family and their cronies. Nobody cares about the Airline.
Word has reached me that Saliyah is no longer at Qatar - what are the odds that he shows up as another appointee at UL in the next few weeks? 100% imho.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

Nobody will touch this imho - this looks like more talk to give the impression something is being done. In the meantime everyone is busy collecting as much money as possible for themselves, their families, their friends and their cronies.
Sadly UL is finished imho - the only question is when not if the doors close.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

The government will just have to keep on sinking more money into UL
I am not familiar if any Chinese airline have any significant stake or investment on foreign airlines or their track record in airline investments\partnerships unless someone in the forum is familiar?
This would be the ideal opportunity to at least turn around some troublesome state enterprises; any successive SL government is not going to make any difference.Last edited by LukeSkywalker; 10-04-2016, 09:31 AM.
