Of course it may be another corrupt deal of some kind - nothing surprises me about this Airline.

Just saw Hanoi - Nairobi flight flying over SL; but these routes could be weather dependent - isn't it?

Also Singapore/Malaysia/Hong Kong/Thailand - Maldives routes are operating over SL on some days if not all.

It might be something related to MJ phase out and UL is not interested in taking over CMB-CGK route?

Japan’s largest air transport firm, All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd (ANA), is one of the companies interested in managing Sri Lankan Airlines.

For now UL received about eight offers...............

China & Sri Lanka sign MoU to expand ASA

China & Sri Lanka signed (03-Aug-2016) a MoU to expand their bilateral air services agreement. Under the agreement, both parties will work to raise the number of weekly services between the countries to 70. In addition, services between Kunming & Colombo will not be limited. CAAC reported that in 2015, there were 39 weekly services between China & Sri Lanka, which brought about 400,000 people traveling between the two countries, up 34% year-on-year.

4r-ALN just left CMB as UL 1183. Flight radar 24 doesnt show it's final destination. Anybody knows whether it's going to PIA?

UL uses 183 flight number only for Pakistan. So she must be going to join PIA on wet lease. My guess final destination is Lahore or Islamabad where these 3 x UL A333 are going to be based there. @haleef - please confirm if i'm right? It's a sad moment for all of us
