At the current pace of cutting off revenue streams there might not be a UL for much longer. You notice how they keep getting rid of aircraft and axing routes but not a single politically appointed muppet has been shown the door yet. Corruption from the previous regime and lack of backbone from the current one will continue to sink this airline.
On another front Cramer and his little band of rebels continue to give management the finger:
yeah so what? Look, the current UL management spokesman is here. But still SO WHAT, he can't understand logic. How can you be profitable by cutting down profitable routes with 90%+ demand on each flight (do you have an idea how well routes like CGK, LHE, DAC and BAH are performing?). Still so what ? you might not understand plain english
UL/MJ is losing money every day overall none of the routes are profitable because as whole UL and MJ are losing money
your demagogue and his merry men lost the election and the management now get used it it...he is not coming back

They may have lost the election but they didn't lose the management. Why do you think that Ranil's lackeys haven't gotten anything done. Because MR's fanboys are still alive and well within UL. The only time they seem to work together is when they continue abusing benefits and hoarding from the airline.
If you actually worked for the airline you'd see there has been no change.
Hey SO WHAT? it's all to make UL PROFITABLE......right???
Lol. So they say It was actually funny last year after the elections, to see alot of people who's only qualification was having their name on a politician's list, do their work. Heads bowed mouths shut. Now they are back to going around like they own place. The only change that has been made in this department is their numbers have actually grown. I'm sure it's all part of the governments plan to stop the bleeding as Speedbird keeps saying

The flights may be full but they may not neccessarily be profitable if yields are low. That said UL needs to find a way to deal with this - for example, starting a subsidiary with lower costs to operate the flights on behalf of UL. Of course this thinking would require someone with aviation managerial experience and a backbone to be running the company like the CEO EK installed.

Spot on ! UL needs the management with Aviation managerial experience. Especially when the airline is severely bleeding loss, having wrong people in the management would make things only worse.
If SL Gov is really want to make UL to be profitable they need to appoint experienced management in aviation and have to get rid of cronies/thieves from the airline.

Looks like the subsidiary plan is flushed down the toilet with UL wanting a full takeover of MJ operations
4R-ALN did its first revenue flight with PIA today (PIA 785/786). Is this the first time 4R-XXX aircraft being used by another mainline airline on wet lease basis?
