Emirates A380 successfully landed! Parked on Gate A9 (terminal). Recieved the water salute as well at Apron A. Also ALK008, 4R-ABL was doing flight tests/go arounds for about 7 hours till now.
                  Await pictures!

Emirates #A380 Official Images from Emirates Facebook Page. Sri Lankan Captain Udaya Tillekeratne and Emirati First Officer Saeed Almheiri led the Emirates A380 one-off flight to Colombo.

A380-800's original configuration carried 555 passengers in a three-class configuration (First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class)or 853 passengers (538 on the main deck and 315 on the upper deck) in a single-class economy configuration.

That means CMB gate A9 could accommodate A380?

Yeah, even most of us spotters were shocked to see it taxi back to A9 , but I doubt that an A330 can park on A8 next to the A380 (if it uses A9 or so). The Saudia 777-300 was on A7.
