SriLankan Airlines would like also to add Madurai (to the south of India) to his Indian already strong network of eight destinations: the two aforementioned, but also Bangalore, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapalli.
Suddenly, SriLankan Airlines will lower from April its frequencies towards London of 12 to 7 flights a week, the withdrawn flights being redeveloped in flights towards China (Peking, Shanghai and Guangzhou), more profitable destinations. She foresees also to add additional flights towards Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait or Kuala Lumpur.
In Europe, only Germany represents an interest for Srilankan that increased his frequency towards Frankfurt, passing of four to five weekly flights with an acknowledged objective of a daily flight of here the end of the year.

Narita added to Sri Lanka open skies
Japan and Sri Lanka have agreed to add Narita International Airport to their open skies agreement, according to the transport ministry.
The addition of Narita will take effect in summer 2013, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism said Monday.
Signatory countries to open skies agreement are basically obliged to authorize each other's airlines to set the number of flights to the other's airports and open new routes to them without being bound by any curbs.
The deal has made Sri Lanka the 15th economy with which Japan has agreed to add Narita to such an accord.

For TR, well, Singapore has no obstacles .. and I would safely say, same goes for Sri Lanka, as Singapore - Sri Lanka is reciprocal rights.

ZRH will be terminated with effect from 31st August 2012
MXP/ROM will be terminated with effect from 09th September 2012
Its not the best news but you cant honestly expect them to serve these destinations if they dont make a profit.
