Rahal, Very sad to hear engine of the 4R-ADE damaged after it's been hit by a lorry. Any idea how did this happened? I thought 4R-ADE not parked in the hangar since it's been completed most of the lease-return checks. Is it a severe damage to an engine , which could delay the process of lease-return. On the other hand, CMB hangar is currently filled with many aircraft due to lease return checks for 4R-ALG/DF and preflight checks for ALQ if im not mistaken.

of course.....the new strategy of cost cutting. Organize musical programs inside aircraft hangars and also damage a few aircraft for special effects. This is the kind of circuses you should pay to watch.

While there is an uncertainty of Sri Lankan Airlines continuing to operate in Europe and several other destinations of choice, Sri Lanka Tourism today said it hopes to enter into strategic partnerships with new and existing Airlines connecting the regions capitalising on the “Open Sky” policy of the government of Sri Lanka.

Any possibilities European Airlines like KLM, Alitalia, Air Berlin etc.. launching Colombo route if SriLankan terminate the flights to Paris, Rome and Frankfurt.

If UL has not enough pax why these Airlines should start flights to colombo?

If the pax demand is bad, why is UL using A333s on routes like FRA when there are smaller aircraft like the A332s which are more than capable of flying the same flight non-stop

It is not the number of pax...it is the yield which matters
