Boeing, the maker of the 777 and 787 aircrafts, has agreed to lease a combination of 777 and 787 aircraft to Pakistan International Airlines, a tweet by PTV News has claimed.

We are also hearing rumors that PIA might cancel its wet-lease with Sri Lankan Airline, under which PIA had gotten three A330 aircraft for its premier service.

Seems like UL890 Is returning to CMB after departure. What's going on?

Will the remaining A330-300 scheduled to be leased get cancelled. This could be another blow to the already crippled and ill-fated airline.
Since the airline has planned to cancel flights to CDG and FRA how are these aircraft's gonna be utilized.

Any new investor presumably will know how to run the airline properly and utilise the frames profitably. I doubt anyone will invest in UL without installing their own management team in place.

The aircraft was 4R-ALL and was changed to 4R-ALM and delayed over 3 hours.

What caused 4R-ALL To return to CMB when it was enroute to BKK.

SriLankan Airlines Airbus A320-214 (4R-ABN) "City of Kalyanipura" performing airline's inaugural flight UL-185 from Colombo to Lahore.

4R-ALL was returned to Colombo, but perform next flight to Kuwait at 2pm. So was unsure what was the problem. But the aircraft is now operating fine.

It was technical problem

An inaugural flight of SriLankan Airlines from Colombo to Lahore was presented water salute on Tuesday night.



The service will be twice-weekly for the first month of operation with flights on Tuesday and Thursday and will then be increased to thrice-weekly starting from 30th October with a change to flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights will depart Colombo at 2010 hours, arrive in Lahore at 2335, depart Lahore at 0035 the next day and arrive in Colombo at 0505

4R-MRC left the Mihin Lanka fleet and its in the Colombo hangar for lease return checks. According to reliable sources, 4R-MRF will leave the Mihin Lanka fleet in Jan 2017
