Top professional G.T. Jeyaseelan has been appointed as the Head of Service Delivery at SriLankan Airlines.
He succeeds another national carrier veteran Capt. Milinda Ratnayake who held the position until recently.

Good choice IMHO with his qualifications. I remember reading that he was also the frontrunner to succeed Sajin as the CEO of Mihin.

The Government is planning to develop the Ratmalana airport into a city airport this year. In addition facilities at the Ampara, Jaffna and Koggala airports will be also upgraded. Improvements to the existing terminal building, repair to the runway, taxiway and apron, reconfiguration to the aerodrome for the use of corporate jet traffic would be done as a short-term development project of the Ratmalana airport.

The development of the international aviation sector is expected to serve Sri Lanka’s endeavours to become a regional hub, but the country will need to act fast. Several aviation leaders said international aviation sector development would require more than 200,000 pilots and 400,000 aircraft engineers opening up more opportunities in other levels as well.

I thought UL was going to replace ADA-ADC (A340-311) aircraft with newer A340-313Xs. Or are they refurbishing these aircrafts and replacing them with 777/A350s in a couple of years? And are they reintroducing first class on these planes, as some people have speculated (very doubtful though)?
