The big Gulf carriers, Etihad Airways and Emirates, will temporarily end their UK flights on Friday after the UK Government put the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on their red list. After a country is placed on the red list, flights originating there cannot land in the UK. Also getting added to the UK’s red list are two countries in Africa. Source: Simpleflying]
Is Sri Lanka also going to cancel the flights from UAE?

Good to see Air Astana flying to Sri Lanka. I heard Air Astana is going to upgrade Sri Lanka flights from charter to scheduled. Is Mattala Airport doing well with passengers from Central asia and Ukraine ?

Seems like HRI is doing pretty well compared to before.
Hope GoSL looks to further develop HRI and probably come up with a concept similar to KLIA2 with reduced landing fees etc. to attract more airlines mainly LCC's that would definitely help to reduce congestion at CMB when things normalize
With the Sothern Expressway being a key link to HRI, many pax would definitely use HRI as an option primarily for cheap fares

Looks like it went under the carpet... It really difficult to start a new airline during unprecedented times.

                              Is this latest update?

I searched on internet about Cargolux services to Sri Lanka and found Sri Lanka signed air services agreement with Luxembourg in 2018 for opening direct flights between these countries and in 2020 Sri Lanka requested Cargolux to serve HRI.
