BIA welcomes Maldivian Airlines
Colombo, April 26 (Daily Mirror) - The Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) welcomed the Maldivian Airlines as they launched their newest flight route connecting Colombo, Sri Lanka with Male, Maldives, the Airport & Aviation Services Sri Lanka Private Ltd (AASL) said.
They said the Maldivian, the renowned flag carrier of the Maldives, operates two weekly flights departing every Thursday and Saturday, providing flexible options for both leisure and business travellers.
Launching its operations, the first flight arrived at the BIA with 138 passengers. The flight was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival and the passengers were warmly welcomed with Sri Lanka Tea Board-sponsored Ceylon Tea gift packs, followed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance.

Today's UL 503 (May 01) was diverted to Vienna on its way to LHR. Reason for diversion is not known. Aircraft remains on ground in Vienna and will stay overnight probably due to crew time out and LHR curfew time.
UL 504 is now cancelledLast edited by CalgaryLankan; 01-05-2024, 09:35 PM.Comment

Took this photo at LHR around 8pm. Think its 4R-ALO. Wish I would've waited until ALQ arrive and took photo of both A333s at LHR.
