it has been decided to deploy an aircraft currently used by India with Indian pilots and coast guard officers immediately for surveillance operations and to provide the necessary training to the Sri Lankan counterparts.
Thereafter, it is planned to deliver the first aircraft of this type manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to Sri Lanka free of charge. However, the second aircraft proposed to be delivered by India will cost around US $ 8 million and will be provided under the Indian credit limit. (sl guardian.org)Comment

According to the below link, Training already been given to Sri Lanka Navy Pilots back in Jan 20 So that means more training going to be given to Sri Lanka Navy?

I wonder if SLAF is getting these two Do-228 as a replacement for Y-12.
Guys, can you please share your opinions about Do-228 ? is it suitable for SLAF or SL Navy use?Comment

i wonder why pilot couldn't evacuate the aircraft with parachute ?
Haleef, was this plane flying from Trincomalee to Ratmalana? does this mean all other PT-6 will be grounded?Comment

Dear fellow aviation hobbyists!
As I’m very interested in aircraft Wrecks & Relics (W&R), I’m looking for some missing identities of preserved, stored & instructional airframes what can be found in Sri Lanka. For this reason I’m asking for your help to make the list complete. When I’m finished with the whole W&R list of Sri Lanka, I’m more than happy to publish this list on this forum. Photos of these stored, preserved or instructional aircraft are also very much appreciated
Thank you all for your help and assistance in advance!
Kind regards,
Erwin Alexander

Welcome to our forum. It really nice to meet you ? Good to see your aviation photos you took in Sri Lanka on flickr..
Are you referring to B727F ? There is no B737 stored in CMB.
