Any reason why it wasn't painted in Air Ceylon livery. If I am not mistaken VC10 was part of the Air Ceylon for 5 years.
As per sources, Air Ceylon only operated 4 long haul destination in 1970s. Such as London, Paris, Rome and Sydney. In that case one VC10 fair enough to carry out the operation.
