Wow, nice to hear. Ethiopian has begun to expand their Asian routes, with plans to open routes to Manila and Seoul, so a potential route to VCBI/HRI could continue that expansion. However, I agree that they should fly on to China from there, as opposed to ADD via BEY. It would certainly add a new presence to VCBI, and I hope it happens. They have a decent business class product, and are gradually modernizing their fleet of Boeing aircraft. I am guessing they would use a 763 on a CMB route.Rumour : Ethiopian Airlines going to start flights to Mattala and Colombo as per http://aviationvoice.lk/?p=1501 - Is that true?Leave a comment:

Yes, umedhah, that will be good news if this is a true story. If I recall it correctly, few years ago, Ethiopian Airlines planned to serve Colombo via Mumbai but it never materialised. Above source says Ethiopian want to fly on Addis Ababa - Beirut - Colombo, I think it's a bad idea. In my humble opinion, Ethiopian should try Addis Ababa - Colombo - Shanghai or Beijing?Leave a comment:
