but I thought we were supposed to attract them to Mattala??? lol and not to let em fly over Lanka without landing...But recently most of the A380s from Gulf to Australia are flying over Sri Lanka. Previously most of the EK A380s were flying over South India except for Perth. It's good for Sri Lanka that India doesn't allow A380 to land in the Indian Airports. At least for re-fueling and medical emergencies A380s will land in our airports. What do you think ?

3K has been trying to expand out of their home market.https://www.facebook.com/JetstarSriLanka
Jetstar to start LCC service from Sri Lanka ???????????? or just Rumour?????????

Would not be a surprise if they did manage to grab CMB !! They can feed KUL traffic in .. + more than a fair percentage of their travellers are Australians - and it will give a nice boost to tourists.
JQ/3K is on a merged reservation system, so Pax from JQ can book through all the way into 3Ks Asian Network !!Comment

In case of emergencies you can land at any airport; if the airport is capable of handling that type of aircraft...Indian restriction is for schedule flightsComment

Anybody here name the flights which flypast over Sri Lanka ? or the flights use the Sri Lanka Airspace ?
For Example Cathay Pacific CX748/749 between Hong Kong and Johannesburg always flypast over Sri Lanka. Another Example Saudia SV816/817 between Jeddah and Jakarta always flypast over Sri Lanka in 34,000 ft . Are there any other Passengers/Cargo flights I am missing here ?? Please name them ??

Kenya Airways 886 from Nairobi to Bangkok always flies over Sri Lanka. Also most Hajj flights from Indonesia to Jeddah fly through Sri Lankan airspace. I have also seen Etihad and Emirates flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Australia over SL on flightradar24.Comment

But I have seen several times CX from Johannesburg to Hong Kong was flying over Colombo, unless they have now changed the flight path. Also TG from Johannesburg to Bangkok was flying over Colombo too. Please confirm.Comment
