One of the pilots was sick in SYD and had to operate on 3 crew to CMB then a relief crew was flown AUH-CMB to crew the CMB-AUH, we waited onboard the aircraft during the stop

The B737 carrying FIFA team had a stopover at Bautimi and Ahmedabad before landed at Colombo. I am not sure if Bautimi and Ahmedabad were just technical stops? Are you sure Colombo is the 1st destination for FIFA team. Any special reason they considered Sri Lanka in the FIFA tour. Its good news anyway. The aircraft has been to Male' from Colombo yesterday. I can see from FR24 it hasn't departed from Male' yet.

Qatar Amiri 747 is in Colombo. Unfortunately no pictures that I could find. Any idea why? Is it because of the SriLankan restructuring plan where Qatar is going to take up SriLankan, or any other reason?

According to FR24, its a A340-200 (A7-HHK) not a 747, but it is a Qatar Amiri aircraft.

Yes it's 9H-BIG. Not sure why it came here. Did SriLankan take it for temporary use or something as a charter since 4R-ABP is leaving and 4R-ANE isn't there? No pictures, but anyone at the airport, could you try to take some pictures? Harsha will not be able to take so I guess.
