What makes you think TU-TAB is grounded ? I think this aircraft is under utilised, only operating on behalf of SriLankan Airlines cargo to Chennai (Sa), Bangalore (Tu.Th.Sa) in India. Schedule : http://www.srilankancargo.com/genera...led-operations

So I wonder who they have flying these rigs? Ex-Maldives guys?

Are they presently in Sri Lankan registry?

Big PITA to convert ICAO license to Sri Lankan?

I just got a Panamanian license conversion from Canadian and had to take an air regs exam ........................ IN SPANISH! Problem was, I don't speak Spanish, though passed anyway with a little help from the examination giver (access to Google translate).

Most of the operators in Maldives are primarily Twotters .. leased from Kenn Borek or Elsewhere

There are a lot of Amphib Cessnas in other parts of the world, where there is no prolonged over-water use, including Philippines (seen a few there .. )

For the license part, may I ask in what context ?

Oh, for the others, here's some stuff

                            Seen in KUL

On a Sunday, it was a UL 330

And on a Tuesday, it was a UL 320, in the gate with another all "Bus" operator (MI - moving to Boeing)

And 4R-ABO, taxiing to the active, for departure - the stands you see in the background are part of the Sepang F1 Circuit

Air Asia's first (and Asia's first) Sharklet kitted A320 Bus 9M-AQQ

                              Another view of AQQ

SQ 345, possibly having completed an Engine Change in the Tarmac !!! (the SIA Engineering and the Satsco pans were full of NW / BA / and other metal .. ) - you can see the tail of ACBN on the port side of the 345

                                Some more scenes of SIN/KUL

EK A380 coming in to land in KUL

Waiting for take off is AK 9M-AQQ, and on the right side is part of LCCT

EK A380 flaring for touch down (KUL)

Biman 737-800, in SIN, with the tail of Myanmar Airways Intl (MAI) 320 in the background (SIN)

A333 of Air Asia Xpress (D7) rolling down the active for departure (KUL)

                                Myanmar Aiways A320 in KUL

An EK 777-300 ER, in KUL, and not soon after this, the 380 floated down ..

An EY 777-300 ER in KUL

I wonder how the EK 773, EK 388, and EY77W get filled to capacity ..
