Errr... so two class aircraft? Kinda like, y'know, UL...Mihin Lanka sees strong cargo potential on Colombo-Mahe sector. Mihin Lanka, Sri Lanka’s low cost airline is making headway on the Colombo –Mahe sector flying twice weekly with a load factor of around 45 percent and the airline’s Head of Commercial, Rohana Perera expressed confidence that it would reach 55 percent or more during the season. ihin’s A- 320 aircraft flying on this sector would undergo some changes with 12 seats upfront coming under a new class which would provide more comfort to the passengers added with sufficient leg space, inflight entertainment and a full meal as the airline is already catering to a more up market clientale on this sector, he said. Can someone please tell me why no one writes articles on Sri Lankan newspapers (non-government ones obviously) blasting the pathetic state of affairs our aviation sector is in/ The ridiculous existence of Mihin? Just paid $600 return for a Dhaka to Colombo flight again. While that's the cheapest you're going to get on this route (also nonstop), I think I would like a proper meal and some inflight entertainment kplzthanks.Comment

As far as I am aware all UL aircraft are active incl 4R-ADA. However UL is facing aircraft-shortage because they are serving additional frequencies for London, Paris, Frankfurt and Moscow flights for the peak season. On the other hand, MJ is not serving Delhi these days so UL is utilising MJ aircraft to increase the MCT service from 6 to 7 weekly instead of keeping the MJ's aircraft on ground on Saturdays. But I am not impressed by the idea of using LCC aircraft for full service UL flights.Comment

Finally some codeshares... now if they can update their shoddy flysmiles website and team up with some useful partners...
Any idea what will happen to the Etihad Partnership once UL joins Oneworld?Comment
