Can someone please tell me why no one writes articles on Sri Lankan newspapers (non-government ones obviously) blasting the pathetic state of affairs our aviation sector is in/ The ridiculous existence of Mihin? Just paid $600 return for a Dhaka to Colombo flight again. While that's the cheapest you're going to get on this route (also nonstop), I think I would like a proper meal and some inflight entertainment kplzthanks.

I am just waiting in EK launge for my EK653 to Dubai and just witnessed 4R-MRE operated for UL205 to MCT.

As far as I am aware all UL aircraft are active incl 4R-ADA. However UL is facing aircraft-shortage because they are serving additional frequencies for London, Paris, Frankfurt and Moscow flights for the peak season. On the other hand, MJ is not serving Delhi these days so UL is utilising MJ aircraft to increase the MCT service from 6 to 7 weekly instead of keeping the MJ's aircraft on ground on Saturdays. But I am not impressed by the idea of using LCC aircraft for full service UL flights.
