@ Lordvader - Yes, the A332 you saw in the CMB-Hanger is 4R-ALB, which is being refurbished with the flat-beds in the business class not sure about IFE ... According to the news that Max posted above, this aircraft (ALB) is going to be back in service by this July and it will be used for destinations mainly PVG where UL is looking upgrade the aircraft service.

@ CalgaryLankan - Its a good sign that minister is again mentioning that UL will fly to Toronto from October this year with a seven daily flights, stop over in LHR. Possibly UL will use its own aircraft to Toronto. However still its not very clear whether the stopover airport would be LGW or LHR. When I browse in A.net I found an interesting link about the new Canada-Sri Lanka Air-Bileteral agreement, which was released very recently : http://www.otc-cta.gc.ca/decision-ru...30801&lang=eng. On the agreement say AC will codeshare with UL.

I collected the above information from various sources like A.Net ...

Air India has temporarily reduced it's MAA - CMB flights from 6 weekly to 3 weekly till the 15th of June. Effective 16th June it will go back to it's original schedule of 6 weekly flights.

Interesting and looks like some decent decisions. These management changes must be due to the new CEO taking over. Does anyone inside UL have any opinions on these management changes (including the new CEO)? I think any widebody order will have to wait until the new management takes over.

As far as I heard, this is a refurbishment of 1000 square feet of the existing terminal for use by transit passengers. source : mrpanini.

Hopefully there are some new shops and cafes in it. The current transit area really needs more shops and activities in order to entertain transit passengers (an issue even raised by the AASL Chairman). And the old floor tiles dont match the new marble floor tiles found in the concourse area. This also applies to fittings such as signs. It is important to have one consistent modern look throughout the airport.

Also does anyone know whats happening to the Airbus A320 Mihin has on order? (as per its Wikipedia entry). Im hoping theyll lease at least 2 more A320s this year in order to facilitate expansion. They cant really make much profits or market impact with their current fleet of 2 aircraft.

None on order per my knowledge. ABM and ADG are apparently yet to make first revenue flights. ADG will be mainly operating on UL509.
