Thai Airways doesn't have A320 in the fleet on the other hand Thai Smile going to switch the operations from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Bangkok Don Mueang effective October 26. Perhaps they will reduce the frequency with A330-300 in 15/1/15 if the yield not do well on BKK-CMB route.

MJ 305/306 CMB-IXM-CMB (4x weekly) will be cancelled few days in next month i.e, Oct 8, 13, 15, 20, 22.

MJ 307/308 CMB-HRI-IXM-CMB (1x weekly) will be operated as CMB-IXM-HRI-CMB from Winter.

Mihin Lanka from 17NOV14 begins service to Pakistan, where it’ll operate 3 weekly Colombo – Lahore route. This route will be operated by Airbus A320 or A321 aircraft.

Why do you think Lahore is a better destination than Karachi? For your info - airline like EK expanding more service to Karachi even after the bomp incident.

As long as I know most pakistanis dnt like to reach khi bcz itz very busy n high security measures . ( but im talking abt the pap profile in italy )

In my opinion SriLankan Airlines is doing a vital role by serving Karachi after the termination of Far East & Orient carriers like Cathay Pacific, Malaysian and Singapore Airlines. There are not many direct flights available between Karachi and Far East as PIA serving only once a week flight to Kuala Lumpur. So far passengers from Karachi they needs to take SriLankan or Thai Airways to reach the Far East Destinations. But the issue is SriLankan is paying high-insurance for serving Karachi due to security issues in the city.

Lahore is a profitable destination as it has good demand for cargo and passenger. I can see above Mihin's Lahore flight timings have been well-planned to connect Lahore and Far East Flights via Colombo. If I can recall it correctly, SriLankan Airlines used to plan to fly Lahore via Delhi but it never been materialised for some reason. Hope they will increase the frequency of flights to Lahore in near future.

Few pictures of 4R-ALL when she was landing in Chateauroux for paint work. Guys any idea whether the paint work have been completed for 4R-ALL as this bird sent for paintwork for more than 2 weeks.

How did you find out ? I am wondering why Mihin is cancelling the Madurai flights in October. Is it because of the security issues in Madurai and Trichy as they were breaking the Sri Lanka's travel agents.
