All airbus have Mode S transponders - mandatory pretty much everywhere.
ADS-B is increasingly mandatory as well. No reason not to have this installed on a new build aircraft.
FR24 database probably hasn't been updated - this is the most likely issue.Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this businessComment

Hello...
As promised I did some digging on this. I've spoken with an avionics engineer and his idea was most probably the FR24 database is not updated. He said the 'T3CAS' system has a significant difference in ALO so probably that might be the cause. ( read more about Thales T3CAS : https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/world...erospace/t3cas )
ADS-B is not essential for FR24 tracking, our old aircrafts are not equipped with that anyway.Comment

Good if MJ shut down. But would you think it's profitable if UL serve full service flights to cgk, dac, shj etc.. MJ already a full service carrier anyway.Comment
-
Not sure about other destinations, but there is no point in serving SHJ as UL already operates a daily flight to DXB.Comment

That is a good decision.
Between DXB and CMB:
FZ has THREE B738 flights a day.
EK currently has 25 weekly flights mostly on B77W, which will soon increase to 28 (4 daily flights!).
In contrast,
UL has ONE daily flight to DXB mostly on a narrow body.
Why?Comment

I thought EK already have 27 weekly flights on DXB<->CMB and 7 weekly flights on CMB<->SIN

Ek is currently operating 27 weekly flights from Dxb and Cmb. But there is an issue in increasing the flight to 28 weekly due to runway maintainance going on every Wednesdays afternoon at Cmb so Ek doesn't want schedule the Ek654 on Wednesdays.
Over the few years Uae based air carriers had taken advantage of Cmb route where now Ek is operating 27 weekly from Dxb, FZ is operating 21 weekly from Dxb, Ey is operating double daily from Auh, Rg is operating three weekly from Auh and finally G9 is operating 11 weekly from Shj but G9 has plans to increase Cmb flights from 11 weekly to double daily effect Dec 2015.
UL mix the equipments to DXB I think most of the time UL has less pax loads on Cmb-dxb.
Any chance Ek increasing more flights to Cmb? Is it good for Sri Lanka if Ek expand the service?Comment
