If they are really serious about turning the Airline around then perhaps stopping the Racketeering/Racketeers would be a good idea.

Guess they're not serious as long as this sort of thing continues with no investigation or attempt to recover the money.

This is interesting but the flight is still not available for bookings. It will make a big impact on UL and TG flying from BKK. It is easy to reach DMK than BKK for most of the tourist coming to Thailand and there are very good connecting flights from DMK for most of the tourist destinations in the region.

Investors, no airlines, seeking to buy SriLankan Airlines

Sri Lanka is likely to end up with narrow shortlist of about 'two or three' investors out of about eight who expressed initial interest, Deputy Finance Minister Eran Wickramaratne said.

Parties that expressed interest are currently engaging in due diligence to provide firm proposals, but there are no airlines among them, he told reporters.

Is it BlackRock vs TPG Capital ????

The whole thing is nothing but a Fairy Tale imho.

There is no conceivable way for this Airline to ever make money. The only people making money are the Racketeers and their cronies.

Why would anyone invest in this?

SriLankan Airlines which replaces Mihin Lanka will operate four flights per week to Seychelles.

The Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Port and Marine, Alain St. Ange and the chief commercial officer of SriLankan Airlines, Siva Ramachandran speaking at the airport on Thursday.

The A320 with 66 passengers onboard touched down at the Seychelles’ international airport at Pointe Larue on the eastern coast of the main island, Mahe, at around 10:15 am.

Looks like MSN 7486 will be the second A321neo production frame, for SriLankan Airlines.
