With the new EK and FZ partnership agreement, this idea is not as far fetched as it used to be. In early morning departure bank to DXB (between 2-3am) EK349 and FZ558 fly within an hour apart for instance and can be consolidated into an A388. Coincidentally, EK348/9 is actually DXB-CMB-SIN-CMB-DXB. Makes even more sense to upgrade.

How hellish CMB will be with all those souls landing at once is anybody's guess.

                          Just now noticed this

"The one-off A380 aircraft will arrive at 16:10 hours and be on ground for more than six hours before it returns to Dubai as flight EK655 departing at 22:10 hours, enabling airport executives, VIPs, trade partners and media to enjoy a guided static tour of the double-decker aircraft."

Due to popular demand, the world’s oldest airline KLM will increase the frequency of its flights between Colombo and Amsterdam to three times a week in late October during the 2017/18 Winter season. KLM’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner will continue to operate between Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport connecting its 294 passengers into KLM’s gl ..

I would imagine this will be blocked since it will implicate UL Management in Racketeering.

That can't be allowed to happen. They'll weasel their way out somehow.
