Aeroflot resumes Colombo service in late-Oct 2018
Aeroflot Russian Airlines in winter 2018/19 season plans to resume service to Sri Lanka, which sees the opening of Moscow Sheremetyevo – Colombo route from 28OCT18. Airbus A330-300 aircraft will operate this route 5 times a week.
SU286 SVO2205 – 0905+1CMB 333 x23
SU287 CMB1045 – 1730SVO 333 x34
The Skyteam member previously served this route until March 2012.

Personally I don’t see the feasibility in operating a A333 on this route... an A321 would do in my opinion
How are the visa formalities though ? Any restrictions to Russia ? are transit visas required etc ?- Aaqib Hussain

Transit visa isn't required for a transit under 24 hours. A lot Indians use Aeroflot for onward connections to JFK and IAD.Comment
