Wrong. It's not updated at all. Still no proper confirmation on aircraft orders as of yet as I know.

Do people here not read the news?

Global Aviation is collapsing. People are no longer travelling and increasing quarantine measures means that travel will become increasingly difficult.

Lufthansa is grounding their A380 fleet (14 aircraft). Rumour is that Qantas is about to ground 6 A380.

Airlines have stopped hiring, cutting salaries and forcing staff to take unpaid leave. Next up will be mass layoffs and bankruptcies.

There is a huge Economic Shock coming.

This will affect Sri Lanka/SriLankan where there is still a great deal of delusional thinking.
Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

Once again a good move by FitsAir! - Hope they can capitalize on their First mover advantage

Looks clear that UL's Market Share is going to get a direct hit, they should've ideally invested in a few turboprops ages ago!

I guess these flights will operate as RML-JAF-TRZ and RML-JAF-MAA.
Fitsair received their 2nd Cessna after operating it in Indonesia. 4R-EXP.

Haleef & Aaqib- Do you know when Fitsair is going to commence India flights?

Yes that's the plan according to them as this would attract many pax. to/from JAF and would more or less guarantee a high yield both ways.

However, I guess this would be on hold until 15APR at least due to the visa restrictions that were imposed by India on Tourist/Business and eVisa's

My concern is if a single ATR would be enough for this expansion since they plan to add MLE as well in the coming months

Wouldn't it be feasible to add another, newer ATR into the fleet ?

Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended travel of citizens and residents and halted flights with several states, including Sri Lanka due to coronavirus fears.

Starting Friday, March 13, 2020, Kuwait International Airport will close for passenger service indefinitely, meaning commercial flights to & from the airport are canceled.
Apparently there will be some exceptions only for Kuwaiti nationals looking to go home (may be some charter flights operated as a result)

Supposed to be a write off I think. Let's see. Will confirm.

Well Covid-19 has effected air travel largely.

But 4R-ALJ leaving the fleet was much anticipated. I think this will be a complete retirement as it has served for 18 years and since global aviation being in a downward trend for the past few months, I don't think anyone is desperate enough to get such an old airplane or any other plane into there fleet for that matter right now.

Also the A330-200 is pretty much an obsolete airplane now with current trends being the A330-300 and the 900NEO. So it is farewell then I guess for this old bird which has served us well despite a late entry.

Good point. Now that the 330-300 is also no more in production, the market moves forward to the 330neo, but that too Airbus plans on cutting down production due to less orders. 4R-ALJ will be written off.
