    Emirates in the last 48 ? 72 hours further filed schedule changes for Northern winter 2020/21 season. Latest adjustment as of 2100GMT 05SEP20 sees additional service reduction, including previously planned reduction in November being expanded to entire winter season.

    Further changes remain highly possible.

    Dubai ? Colombo Reduce from 3 daily to following
    25OCT20 ? 31JAN21 8 weekly (Previous plan: 14 weekly)
    eff 01FEB21 2 daily

              Etihad Sep 2020 operations as of 08SEP20

              Etihad Airways during the month of September 2020 plans to operate following service, as of 08SEP20. Due to various travel restrictions, the airline does not have passenger traffic rights on certain outbound flights from Abu Dhabi. Limitation may be applied on reservations on selected routes.

                Sri Lanka to have a New Airline - Fly Lankan Asia

                Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka has granted permission to a new airline to operate in Sri Lanka. This airline will be based in Ratmalana and will be operated as ?Fly Lankan Asia? Pvt Ltd. Fly Lankan Asia will be carrying out domestic Passenger and mail operations and international operations carrying passengers, mail and cargo.

                The application for air operator certificate has been forwarded to the Civil Aviation Authority on 4th of September 2020 by them.

                For this operation Fly Lanka Asia has appointed AVM PDJ Kumarasiri as the accountable manager and the company is headed by four directors Mr. Sivantha Sivarasa, Mr K.M.D.S.N Ranaweera , Mr D.J.G.S Edirisinghe and Mr B.J Weerakoon. Fly Lankan Asia is registered at No 7, Walagamba Mawatha, Off Borupana Road, Ratmalana. A copy of their application is available at the CAASL headquarters Technical Library in Katunayake for perusal if general public.

                      Hopefully they?d be able to acquire a few turboprops and operate a similar model to like what FitsAir is doing
                      I?d say probably Bombardier Q300/Q400 or the ATR72

                            It seems to be Gov is planning to make Fly Lankan Asia to operate out of RML. What is this Spark Air? According to Facebook, Spark Air going to be based in HRI. Does SL need more new airlines? Why UL is not interested in getting ATR and operate out of RML to MAA, MLE in future.
