Really wondering why Sri Lanka is taking 346s, with their bespoke engines that have been a headache even for large Western operators, rather than 343s with CFM56 that will be maintainable until the end of time.
As Far as I know BIA can't handle an A346 or an A345 due to it's poor engine performance, they usually need atleast 13,500ft of runway but considering these flights are ferry flights and no cargo onboard maybe they have a chanve with restricted range/fuel

EXQ, EXR and EXS occasionally go to HYD for maintenance. I thought thats the case for EXS went HYD yesterday. Has it been confirmed 4R-EXS on lease return today?

hi do you think the number of weekly departures of an airport mentioned in Flightradar24 is accurate?

Completely wrong, Previously BIA handled Qatar A340-500s for Regular Flight operations. Thus there can be another reasons for those flights.

Yes, Qatar Airways operated A340-600 for regular Colombo flight operations in the past : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3QLTCOXBjg

I doubt its accurate as i never seen some flight like below showed in the FR24 CMB Arrivals or Departure

                        Air Astana - KC167/168 - A321neo - Almaty - Colombo - Mo,Tu,We,Sa (Currently operating)

Regarding the three A340s C5-MIA/B/C, do we know whether anyone at VCBI is actually expecting them? I've noticed ADSB pings from C5-MIB at EYSA in the last couple of weeks but nothing else.

Maybe they'll go the same way as the four ex-Turkish A343s that were stored at Johannesburg in 2019 then came to life in late 2022 as XT-AKA/B/K/ALM, departed for Uzbekistan but diverted to Tehran.
