The flight was welcomed with a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

My guess would be 3 more A320ceos due to arrive before end of this year and may be 4 more A330 will be added before end of next year.So in total are we expecting 2 more A320 with ABT? I thought the lease tender called for 5x A320 and 5x A330
Any idea of the 4x A330 we will be getting? what models (-200/-300)? when delivery to UL?
High time ABL and MRE exit the fleet. Very bad condition. When are their leases up?
Two A333s are due to leave the fleet in 2026 and five A333s are due to leave in 2027.
Guys, please correct me if I am wrong.Comment

Are those 7 A330-343s are under dry lease of 10 years or 20 years?Comment

If i recall it correctly, 7 x A330-343s were leased for 12 years in 2014/2015.
4R-ALL - Leased from ALC for 12 years
4R-ALM, ALN, ALO, ALP, ALQ - Leased from HKAC for 12 years
4R-ALR - Leased from CIT for 12 years
Below source confirms these A333s are due back to their lessors in 2026/2027.

SL Gov has approved two contracts for SriLankan Airlines to lease a total of four A330 aircraft. Two A330s will be leased from Orix Aviation for a period of 6 years at 360k USD per month. Another two will be leased from Aergo capital for 8 years at USD 365k per month.
while two of the dry leased A330-300s are due back to their lessors in 2026 and the remaining five during 2027. SriLankan CEO Richard Nuttall has previously spoken of the loosing end-lease dates and the preasure that has put on the airline to acquire replacements.
ch-aviation understands SriLankan Airlines has signed letters of intent for two of the A330s but is unsure if the other two are still available.

Thanks lot for the info, UL needs to find replacements for those 333s....339 neo or 359... at least used 333s or 332s but with a good cabin.
