In an ongoing dialogue with Airbus, Ganegoda has presented a series of demands as terms of settlement for the dispute over the aircraft order. These terms, subject to approval by the NPP-JVP government, are seen as a precursor to withdrawing legal action. Currently, there is an active case regarding the matter. Highlighting the staggering losses incurred by SriLankan Airlines between 2014/2015 and 2023/2024, Ganegoda has requested Airbus to provide four new A330-900 aircraft free of charge this year.

Iran Airtour has increased IKA-CMB flights from 1 weekly to 2 weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays).

I haven't seen Iran Airtour flying CMB today? any reason?

I saw the flight on FR24 on WED(departed CMB at around 9.30AM local, if i'm not wrong). try viewing arrivals for CMB in fr24.
not sure for today though,

edit: FR24 data suggests that it might be 3-weekly, as B9 operated to CMB on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.(wed, thu, fri) and yes, it has operated yesterday

FitsAir Begins Direct Flights from Colombo to Kuala Lumpur Starting April 4. FitsAir now operates four weekly flights from BIA to Kuala Lumpur on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Hi Everyone,
Greetings!

Few updates on 8D :
4R-EXR is about arrive CMB after maintenance at GMR Aero Technic (HYD) within upcoming two weeks, and 4R-EXR and 4R-EXQ will operate on 8D flights and 4R-EXS will be going for Maintenance with GMR at HYD, after that 4R-EXS will operate ACMI flights for Salam air (OV @MCT).

Surprisingly, 8D added Business class (As per the airline) to KUL flights selling its 8 premium seats with portable IFE, meal (Which were available under ancillery services), and in near future for MLE flights as well.
But according to my opinion, 8D should avoid compete with Legacy carriers and Business class, instead selling those seats as Premium Economy since still the cabins, seats are old and cannot stand with UL and other legacy carriers.
