If the Middle East tension continue to happen, Do you think UL will expand more flights to South Asia, Australia, Far East, Orient, Europe and Africa in the Summer 2026?

I believe UL & 8D should take advantage of the grounded flights by EK, QR & EY. Sri Lanka have big market to focus in India and China.
I don’t think they will be able to do that with the resources they have.

Hi Banu, Yes, UL will be operating UL503 and UL505 as per the schedule, the additonal flight is to help with stranded PAX at LHR. The flight number is UL1206, and tomorrow WAW will be deploying another 787-9 from WAW to pick up more stranded passengers in Sri Lanka and the Maldives (LO7235), while Etihad Airways will be deploying their 77W aircraft on EY390 to accomodate passengers whos flight has been cancelled as a result of the war until March 10th. And also, FlyDubai will be operating two additional flights from DXB to CMB (FZ8571), deploying 7M8.

Noticed that Thai Airways has reduced daily flights from BKK to 5 weekly (Skipping Mondays and Saturdays), starting March 9th.

        Thanks.
